I am an Information Technology (IT) professional who has worked in the industry since the mid-1990s. I have worked on both US coasts and have experience in nearly all related industries, departments and levels that one could in IT; both as an employee and a freelance consultant. My age, experience and elevated IQ have given me a rather unique view of everything and anyone.
If I am going to spend the rest of my life going into my home office to suffer the excruciating minutia of every single human flaw and the monotonous nature of this industry, then the very least I can do is drag down the rest of you with me! ;-)
Most of my posts will consist of email snippets, partial or full messages, small observations and short stories so that you, my "lucky" readers can get a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes.
I am hoping that these posts will be insightful, funny and even educational to some degree. I will do my best to keep the technical level of these posts low so that you do not need to be a "computer expert" (I hate that term) to enjoy these.
The content will not be exclusive to IT; it will also cover office etiquette/politics and human nature in general. There will be stuff here that just about anyone could relate to.
Do know that most of this will be posted for entertainment purposes and thus, I will keep all real names (both of persons and of entities) obscured by providing my own nicknames for them. Legally, as long as I keep it truthful, I can write whatever I want but I will try to keep it civil (for now).
